Uniformed bust of Louis XVIII facing right, legend reads LOUIS XVIII ROI DE FRANCE. Engraver: Pierre-Joseph Tiolier. / Crowned square shield-of-arms within wreath, PIECE DE 20 FRANCS around, date and mintmarks below. Incuse edge lettering: DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM.
Struck to pay for the British troops in France during the Napoleonic War. Good very fine.
