Celebrating the Silver Jubilee, the 25th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II. Following the decimalisation in 1971, the crown coin (equal to 5 shillings) became worth 25p but was revalued to £5 in 1990. Crown struck prior to 1990 - all the way back to 1818 - continue to be legal tender for 25p.
