Judaea. Herodians. Herod I (the Great). Æ Prutot (3.4 gr.), 40-4 BC. Jerusalem. Cross within wreath / Tripod flanked by palm fronds. A&F Type 5, dies O32/R89; Meshorer 49; Hendin 6211a; RPC I 4905; HGC 10, 654.
Perfectly centered, with an attractive desert patina. A candidate for finest known! Virtually as struck. Superb Extremely Fine.
