MACEDONIAN KINGDOM: Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC, LOT of 4 silver tetradrachms: Lifetime: or early posthumous: head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin // Zeus seated left, his legs parallel, holding eagle and scepter, one with dolphin (Fine), the other with uncertain symbol (F-VF, harshly cleaned), and Posthumous: same design, one with thunderbolt (Fine, test cut), the other with 4 Greek letters (Fine, much porosity); retail value $550, lot of 4 pieces.
