Description

BRITISH INDIA: George VI, 1937-1947, nickel ¼ rupee, 1947(b), KM-553, S&W-9.73, brockage of the reverse, exceedingly rare, likely at least 100 times rarer than brockages of the obverse, due to the manufacturing process in use at the Bombay mint; moreover, brockages are extremely rare for any of the coins struck in pure nickel (and also exceptionally rare for copper-nickel coins), some minor scratches, but overall a nicely preserved error coin, NGC graded AU details, RRRR.

Estimate: USD 3500-4000
