BENGAL: Muhammad Bakhtiyar Khalji, 1204-1206, AV ¼ tanka of 20 ratti (2.31g), NM, DM, G-B3, in the name of the Ghorid Muhammad Shah in Devanagari, as srima ha- / -mira mahama- / -da samah, horseman left, holding mace, decent strike, some weakness around the rims, an attractive example overall, VF, ex M.H. Mirza Collection. Known dated VS1262 and 1263, but almost always with the date either off flan or illegibly engraved.
