FATIMID: al-Mahdi, 909-934, AV dinar (4.22g), al-Qayrawan, AH303, A-688, Nicol-30, with the name 'abd Allah above the obverse, and al-imam / al-mahdi billah on the reverse, VF, R. On almost all dinars of al-Mahdi the mint/date formula occurs in the reverse margin. The primary exceptions are gold & silver struck at Yemeni mints in the name of al-Mahdi, though the Yemeni region was never under direct Fatimid control during this reign.
