SUMATRA: Anonymous, AE unit (4.49g), ca. 11th-14th centuries, cf. Zeno-310220, lion walking left, one paw holding sword // head of lion left, umbrella above, uncertain symbol to left, fly whisk to right, Choice VF. This coin is an example of a newly discovered type from central Sumatra called Jambi lion coins. Very little is known about their historical background.
