GREAT SELJUQ: Malikshah I, 1072-1092, AR dirham (2.57g), Kazirun, AH470, A-S1676, citing the caliph al-Muqtadi, with a subordinate called only al-malik al-mu'azzam but without his name or titulature, the reverse field filled with Sura 112 of the Qur'an, as on Umayyad dirhams; unpublished and presumably unique; some weakness, mainly on the reverse, Fine, RRR. The only other known example of this type, struck at al-Ahwaz and dated AH481, was sold in our Auction 30, lot 539.
