ROMAN PROVINCIAL: LOT of 6 better Severan bronzes from Nicopolis ad Istrum, including two of Septimius Severus (Varbanov 2503ff, VF, plus another VF example), Caracalla (Moushmov 1118, VF), Geta (reverse with prowling panther right, Varbanov—, Hristova & Jekov 8.22.53.4-corr, extremely rare with only a few examples known, VF+ with lovely green patina), Diadumenian (Varbanov 3596, VF), Elagabalus (Varbanov 3853, VF+); most with full glossy patina, a very nice lot! retail value $400, lot of 6 pieces.
