ARAB-SASANIAN: Anonymous, 694-695, AR dirham (3.93g), ART (Ardashir Khurra), AH75, A-34, unlike the contemporary issues of Qatari b. al-Fuja 'a, this piece has bism Allah in ObQ2 and la hukm illa lillah in ObQ3, and LWYTW DATWBL BLA YYTW, the Pahlavi translation of the ObQ3 Arabic slogan, replacing the name of the governor, pleasant VF, RRR. Probably struck by the supporters of Qatari b. al Fujâ 'a, very shortly before his name was added to his coinage later in the same year. We sold a similar example in our Auction 32, Lot 183.
