Description
TURKEY: Mahmud II, 1808-1839, AV sûrre altin al-aliye (1.61g), Darulhalife, AH1223 year 16, KM-621, AU, ex Ahmed Sultan Collection. Overstruck, with the obverse clearly showing parts of the retrograde reverse, thus it must have been struck once with the previous coin still in the press, then struck again after the previous coin removed!
