Description
UNITED STATES: 1 cent, 1868, PCGS graded AU58, Indian Head type, ex Jim Farr Collection. The small mintage in 1868 would have been considered quite high for the pre-Civil War era of large cents. As American industry created more jobs and mass production lowered prices, the demand for cents was much higher overall.
