Description

(t) CHINA--FOREIGN BANKS. Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China. 5 Mexican Dollars, 1907. P-S192. S/M#Y11. PMG Very Fine 20.
Shanghai, serial number F/S 57926. Green and red on pink, supported arms at upper centre, '$5' within protectors at each side, 'FIVE' in red underprint letters, hand signed at lower left, reverse green. A very scarce early issue denominated in 'MEXICAN DOLLARS' with a meagre total of five graded by PMG to date and this in SECOND HIGHEST GRADE bested by one example in 25. A note which will excite even the veteran collectors! PMG Comments "Trimmed, Annotation."
