BERMUDA. Bermuda Government. 10 Pounds, ND (1964). P-22cts. Color Trial Specimen. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A wonderful color trial for the highest denomination of Bermuda prior to the introduction of the Bermuda Dollar in 1970. A type that is rather scarce in issued form, color trials such as this are even more challenging to find, with precious few examples appearing at public auction in recent history. This example, printed in forest green, has a much different appearance compared to the issued notes, which were printed in an (also attractive) purple color. This example is fresh and original, with deep inks, bold red overprints and two punch hole cancellations as made. For the Bermuda or Commonwealth specialist this is an outstanding opportunity to add something rare and unusual to an advanced collection. PMG Comments "Printer's Annotation."
