1786 Connecticut Copper. Miller 5.2-I, W-2550. Rarity-4. Mailed Bust Left. EF-40 (PCGS).
122.4 grains. Lovely chocolate brown color with nuances of faded mahogany in the upper right obverse field. Though a bit granular and on a somewhat shallowly flawed planchet, the surfaces appear glossy and hard upon first look. Both sides are well centered, and the overall strike is pleasantly even. A single superficial oxidation spot is noted following the reverse legend on the rim, but it is minor and is easy to overlook.
PCGS# 686833.
