FRANCE. National Convention. Bronze 2 Sols Module Essai (Pattern), Year I/1792. Paris Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Brown.
Maz-377 var. (lettered edge). Plain edge. By M. Brézin. Weight: 18.81 gms. An enchanting method of striking trial, this type features a serpent-entwined caduceus surmounted by a Phrygian cap. Rich red-brown surfaces, with a delightful even nature throughout.
From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Zander in 1956). Ex: Randolph Zander FPL 26 (1956) Lot # 432.
