FRANCE. Constitution. Bronze Fantasy 12 Deniers Module Essai (Pattern), ND ("1794") (ca. mid-late 19th Century). Paris Mint. Louis XVII (in pretence). PCGS SPECIMEN-63 Brown.
Maz-395 (R2); Gad-17. Plain edge. Featuring the bust of the boy-king, if in name only, this fantasy issue exhibits a bit of a die shift upon each side, with reddish-brown surfaces dominating throughout. A VERY RARE and intriguing piece.
From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Schulman on 28 October 1957). Ex: Charles N. Cooley Collection (Hans Schulman - 10/1957) Lot # 63.
