FRANCE. Constitution. White Metal Obverse Cliché or Trial for Écu de 6 Livres, 1791. Paris Mint. Louis XVI. PCGS MS-62.
cf. Maz-67 (for full design); Gad-48.(d); cf. Ciani-2225-6 (for full design in silver and copper). Type I. By A. Dupré. Weight: 4.89 gms. A charming rendition of the obverse design that served as Dupré's winner, and one that features an additional strand of hair added at the top of the monarch's ear.
