GREECE. Alexandros Mavrokordatos Bronze Medal, "1822" (1836). PCGS SPECIMEN-64.
Wurzbach-6129. Diameter: 44mm. By Konrad Lange. Struck to honor Alexandros Mavrokordatos and the first national assembly at Epidauros. Obverse: bust left; reverse: a priest induces two soldiers to clasp hands. A well-executed medal with intricate, lifelike detail. Almost Gem in quality, its surfaces present delicate cacao brown patina with shimmery undertones.
