CANADA. Mint Error -- Struck on Panama Centesimo -- 5 Cents, 2001-P. Winnipeg Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS MS-63 Red Brown.
cf. KM-182B (for strike) & KM-125 (for host planchet). Weight: 2.52 gms. A phenomenal error whereby a Panamanian host planchet (which was also a product of the Winnipeg Mint) made its way into the coining chamber for Canadian proper coinage. In this case, the beaver 5 Cents type, with some enchanting pullaway effect around some of the devices. Paired with the correct striking for the host planchet, a 2001 Panama Centesimo graded MS-65 Red.
