This issue was first announced in July 2002 and it carries the formidable "Half Million Satoshi" denomination, which is equivalent to 0.005 BTC. The design borrows from the Matterhorn theme first used on coins from the Alpen series in 2020. The reverse is decorated with a patten of Swiss crosses in homage to the country in which Alpen is based. This impressive and unprecedented treasure from the Alpen series boasts deeply mirrored fields and expertly frosted design elements. Certified as Proof by PCGS, it is one of only 200 bars originally struck. With strong results for bars from Casascius and Microsoul in our recent auctions, it is clear that this oversized format is experiencing greater appreciation from collectors.
