This Letcher County banknote bears the second title of "The First National." This company town was built by the Consolidated Coal Company in 1911. It was named in honor of George C. Jenkins who was a company director. A truly superlative note that would be a perfect representative for any type set of Kentucky notes, series 1929 Nationals, or just as a prized piece for someone who appreciates beauty and craftsmanship.
