The $1 notes show sailing ships as the central vignette titled "The Flurry" by Asher Durand. Child portrait of Reverend Alfred Elwyn as a child at left (these were used on Confederate notes). The $2 note shows Major General Nathanael Greene at center. Ships in a harbor at left. The $5 note has an Angel with anchor at center. Native American with dog at left. The Rhode-Island Union was initially incorporated in 1804 and remained as such until 1881 when it became the Union National Bank of Newport, charter 2554. Seen with some minor damp staining throughout. Really scarce as individual proofs but incredibly rare as an intact sheet.
