1887 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-66 (PCGS). CAC.
This enchanting specimen exhibits wonderfully original patina in olive-russet, steel-blue and deep pearl-gray. The toning is iridescent in quality and allows full appreciation of Proof reflectivity as the surfaces dip into a light. Full striking detail and a silky smooth appearance are also praiseworthy attributes. From a mintage of 710 Proofs, high quality survivors of which are particularly desirable given the paucity of Gem Mint State examples from the associated circulation strike delivery of just 10,000 coins.
