1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 28-m, W-3130. Rarity-5. Draped Bust Left. EF-45 (PCGS).
113.7 grains. Lovely olive-brown in color, the obverse with some of the woodgrain effect that Walter Breen seems to have liked so much, and which also turns up quite often on San Francisco Mint Indian and Lincoln cents of 1908 to 1910. Both sides only microgranular with some hardness remaining. Centers quite soft, about as struck, the impression near-perfectly centered. A small nick in the center of the obverse, faint scratch low on the effigy, and a few light reverse rim marks are the only significant blemishes.
PCGS# 685374. NGC ID: 2B2X.
