An enigmatic piece, similar in fabric to the 1623/1698 Novum Belgium fantasy also in this sale. This George Clinton fantasy mates a George Clinton obverse with an Eagle on Globe reverse, rather than the normal New York arms reverse. Thought to be a C. Wyllys Betts fantasy, these cardboard productions and their dies may be from another hand.
