1872-CC Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-2. Rarity-4. VF-25 (NGC).
Circulated Carson City mint issues, such as this 1872-CC half dollar are wonderful tangible items that connect to the lore of the Wild West, evoking images of classic Hollywood westerns. Even, generally problem free surfaces show that this coin did spend time in commerce. A short scratch in the central obverse is noted (imagine the stories this coin might tell!). Overall a very pleasing example for the grade with a great "circ-cam" look that collectors desire.
