Description
1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-28. Rarity-2. Head of 1794. VF-35 BN (NGC). CAC.
A pleasing example with overall bold definition to represent this scarcer Guide Book variety of the 1794 large cent. The obverse is boldly impressed within fully, uniformly denticulated borders, the reverse is somewhat soft with little denticulation visible. Overall medium steel-brown in appearance, glints of olive-gray color are here and there. The appearance is quite smooth, in fact, with only a few small marks and toning spots scattered about. This piece is equally well suited for inclusion in a mid grade type set or specialized large cent collection.
