1793 Flowing Hair Cent. Wreath Reverse. S-11C. Rarity-3-. Lettered Edge. VF-20 (PCGS).
A generally wholesome numismatic relic of the earliest days of the Philadelphia mint. The Wreath cent was the second of three distinct types struck in 1793, thus a one year only type coin, in consistent demand from collectors of type coins or EAC specialists. Heavy clash marks and natural planchet fissures are seen on both sides, artifacts of the crude nature of manufacture of these earliest types. There is no environmental damage, nor are there any serious post mint issues to be found on either side. The medium brown surfaces show accents of steely gray and pale olive hues. This is a splendid collector grade Wreath cent that is sure to delight any type or date collector.
