KM-260.3. "ENSAIE" countermark on 1811 Zacatecas L.V.O. 8 Reales (KM-190). A wonderful rendition of this insurgent countermark, displayed quite clearly on the center of its host. Though the final letters of "ENSAIE" soften somewhat, the charmingly simplistic eagle and most of the laurel border is bold. The host exhibits a typical crude strike but suffers no unsightly damage or cleaning, instead retaining lovely originality across its rustic gray surfaces.
