MEXICO. La Comandancia Militar. War of Independence. 8 Reales, ND (1811-14). Ferdinand VII. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, Fine Details.
KM-194.1. "L.C.M." countermark struck on a cast 1812-Ca RP Chihuahua 8 Reales (KM-123). A great example of this typical royalist countermark that stands for " La Comandancia Militar ". The cast host is of the expected crude manufacture, and bears the ubiquitous "T" and crowned pomegranate countermarks on either side of the bust. A small number of short scratches on the obverse are noted but are by no means distracting, especially with the deep charcoal tone that pervades throughout.
