1947 Booker T. Washington Memorial. MS-67+ (NGC).
Generally bright and lustrous with just a dash of russet-gold at selected rim areas probably from the original paper holder of issue. The strike is sharp on the central and peripheral devices, and virtually no signs of softness are noted. Highly lustrous when examined under a light and a coin with a pleasing overall appearance. A couple of minor bagging abrasions are noted on the obverse side that serve to limit the already outstanding grade by NGC. This series is notorious for poor strikes and even poorer surface quality, hence demand for Gems is always high and finding Superb coins at the MS-67 level is quite a challenge for specialists.
PCGS# 9408. NGC ID: BYJV.
