1896-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS).
Swirling mint luster and sharp design elements greet the viewer from both sides of this predominantly brilliant example. Iridescent peripheral toning is noted for the obverse, a similar streak diagonally bisects the reverse providing further visual appeal. The 1896-S is one of the more challenging San Francisco Mint Morgan dollars to locate in Mint State, especially when compared to its relative generous mintage of 5 million pieces.
