Description

Fr. 359. 1890 $5 Treasury Note. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
Rosecrans - Huston signature combination. Large brown spiked treasury seal. A must have type which is needed for any growing type collection. The 1890 series of Treasury Notes is one of the most sought after due to the beautiful lathe work found on the reverse of the notes. This mid-grade notes boasts excellent eye appeal of the all-important back design in dark forest green ink. On the obverse, General George Henry Thomas is depicted at center. PMG comments "Pinholes".
From the Cartwright Collection.
