M. JUNIUS BRUTUS. AR Denarius (3.88 gms), Rome Mint, 54 B.C. NGC Ch VF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5.
Cr-433/1; Syd-906A. Obverse: Head of Libertas right; Reverse: The consul L. Junius Brutus walking left between two lictors, each carrying axe over shoulder, preceded by an accensus. Though displaying some off-centering to the strike ( quite typical for the emission ), this specimen presents problem-free surfaces and a deep, pleasing tone.
