Fr. 41. 1862 $2 Legal Tender Note. PMG About Uncirculated 53.
PMG comments "Great Color" on this beautiful, nearly new 1862 Legal Tender deuce. The underprints are striking, with intricate design details showcased in dark hunter green ink. The serial number and treasury seal pop in a rich ruby red color. Dark black design details contrast nicely with bright paper. Flipping the note over reveals the same eye appeal as found on the obverse. Intricate lathe work is showcased by the engraver in the same dark green ink as found on the face. Overall, a top example for the assigned grade, and worthy of a premium bid.
