PA-117. Pennsylvania. June 18, 1764. 6 Pence. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
No. 42841. Signed by J. Gibson Jr. Printed by B. Franklin and D. Hall, 1764. Plate A. A wonderfully original Franklin printed 6 Pence note. The inks are all sharply printed with bold embossing displayed on the back of the note. Full margins are found and allow for the assigned Gem grade. Last sold in August 2018 at our ANA Sale at which time it was pedigreed to the John Whitney Walter Collection. PMG has graded one other 65 EPQ - this pair constituting the entire uncirculated PMG population for this issue. PMG Pop 2/None Finer.
