1859-S Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-A, the only known dies. VF-25 (PCGS).
With splashes of golden-russet and steely-copper peripheral toning to otherwise silver-gray surfaces. Scarce to rare at all levels of preservation, our multiple offerings in this sale notwithstanding.
