Dirks-877. Diameter: 38 mm. Obverse: Crowned coat-of-arms of the Netherlands and family arms of the Tokugawa surmounted by billowing banner, all between dates of the first Dutch VOC delegation to Japan (1609) and that of the Japanese delegation to the Netherlands (1862); Reverse: Japanese legend professing "closeness and understanding" between the two nations.
