JAPAN. Nickel 10 Sen Pattern, Year 8 (1933). Osaka Mint. Hirohito (Showa). NGC PROOF-64.
cf. KM-Y-54 (circulation strike); cf. JNDA-01-28 (same); cf. JC-09-28 (same); cf. Jacobs/Vermeule-U112 (same); Bank of Japan Collection-Unlisted. Variety with sakura (flowers) to left and right on obverse. An exceedingly elusive pattern, this gleaming specimen delivers an enticing strike and wholesome details with just a limited amount of friction on the surfaces. Escaping ugly marking or hits, this exceedingly lovely specimen is deserved of a great many bids from specialist in the Japanese series.
