Fr-808 (Carlo I) & 810 (Carlo II); MEC-14, 675-6 (Carlo I) & 682 (Carlo II). Obverse: The Annunciation: Archangel Gabriel standing right, holding lily and pointing toward the Virgin standing left, orans, both wearing nimbus crown; lily in vase between; Reverse: Coat-of-arms; above, crescent between stars; to left and right, rosette between stars. Immensely attractive and majestic, this sharply struck specimen presents superior quality than is generally encountered, with this iconography making it an ever-popular emission. Golden-orange throughout, with enchanting luster residing among the devices. Given the resounding quality, a RARE and enticing opportunity.
