KM-159; Sieg-64; H-49. Weight: 2.32 gms. 19 mm x 19.5 mm. Obverse: Laureate bust of Frederik III right, legend around, date below; Reverse: Incense burner, legend around. This wholly original looking and lovely little minor exhibits a pleasing rich old cabinet patina. The surfaces display an attractive slate patina in the protected areas while the exposed fields and high points are a dove gray coloration, all complemented by a slight iridescent sheen that pops out when tilted in the light. Boldly struck, this handsome companion piece to the 1/6 Specie Daaler in this sale, is far nicer than normally encountered when compared to other examples from this series and should be considered RARE in this high state of preservation.
