RUSSIA. Ruble, 1912-EB. St. Petersburg Mint. Nicholas II. NGC MS-64.
KM-Y-69; Bit-330. Commemorating the unveiling of the monument to Alexander III in Moscow. Part of the series of Rubles produced over the course of numerous reigns in which the unveiling of monument of the predecessor to the reigning czar is celebrated. As such, this crown of Nicholas II features the portrait of his father, Alexander III, whose monument was established in Moscow. An already SCARCE type, this specimen is rather RARE given its problem-free state of preservation, with near-Gem quality and radiating brilliance. Augmenting its allure that much more is an enticing gunmetal gray tone that intensifies around the devices.
