CHILE. Peso, 1858-So. Santiago Mint. NGC MS-63.
KM-129. The sole finest example of the date certified by NGC, and the only uncirculated example in general, this piece provides a SCARCE date in condition that is virtually unheralded. The strike is nearly complete, with a plethora of details strongly applied, and only the slightest amount of weakness seen on the surfaces. Good luster underlies the toning, brightening the surfaces when held in the light. A piece that escapes the normal handling and wear, and one that we expect to generate a significant amount of interest considering its preservation.
