MYSIA. Kyzikos. EL Stater, ca. 550-450 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 5/5. Fine Style.
Nomisma-VII, 96; cf. Boston MFA-1438 (Hekte); SNG BN-237. Obverse: Forepart of winged lion left; to right, tunny upward; Reverse: Quadripartite incuse square. Well centered on a somewhat irregular flan, this specimen is free from much in the way of handling, with a light golden-yellow hue and a few edge splits--a rather typical aspect for the type.
