SICILY. Akragas. AR Didrachm (8.62 gms), ca. 485-480/78 B.C. NGC EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5.
HGC-2, 94; Westermark-199 (O73/R134). Obverse: Sea eagle standing left; Reverse: Crab within incuse circle. Pleasingly toned and with some enchanting luster peeking though from the more protected areas, this wholesome piece is also a rather popular type, featuring a marine animal on each side.
