Series 50. First obligation back. American Bank Note Company imprint. Green 1857 patent date bottom center. These Five Dollar Legal Tenders gathered most their design from the 1861 Demand Notes they replaced. Statue of Freedom, as seen atop the Nation's Capitol at left and Alexander Hamilton at lower right. Stunning overall appeal.
