Description

GREAT BRITAIN. Great Britain - Mexico. Dollar, ND (1797). George III. PCGS EF-45. Countermark: AU Details.
S-3765A; KM-634. Bank of England issue. Type I Countermark; bust of George III within oval indent on a 1792-Mo FM Mexico 8 Reales of Charles IV. Lightly circulated, with some evidence mostly seen on the bust of Charles II. The countermark is resolutely applied, with strong details remaining on the design. With a molten gray toning, this example exudes originality and is certain to be much contested for on account of this.
