1896-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS).
A smartly impressed example whose silver-tinged surfaces reveal semi-prooflike reflectivity in the fields as the coin dips into a light. These are much scarcer than a generous mintage of 5 million pieces might imply, most 1896-S dollars either released into circulation or melted during the early 20th century.
